Stereo sound system configuration

The diagram below shows a possible system configuration with an OPPO disk player at the input center driving the LX521 Analog Signal Processor, power amplifiers and speakers.  With a computer added as streaming device, JRiver software as media center and the OPPO player as a high performance DAC with volume control, we have a truly state-of-the-art stereo sound system.

F.B.:  Setup 2021 with two PowerBoxes 6 pro precision analog: Let the analog music source of your choice (DAC, turntable,....) feed the PowerBoxes and connect the LX521 simply by 1-click SpeakOn cables

LX521 placement:

Sidewalls >3ft

Behind LX521 >4ft, the more the better

Behind listener : as open as possible.

You may have the speakers only 8-10ft apart, no problem.

Try the mirror method for toe in of topbaffles: Place a mirror at the lateral wall area of first reflection. Sitting in your listening position and looking at the mirror, you should see the top baffles from exactly their lateral aspect. If not, correct the toe-in until you see neither the top baffles’ front nor the rear side.
In asymmetrical speaker placements, the toe-in angles of left and right top baffle might even differ.

Play some Q-sound test files and focus on the "beyond the right/left speaker" illusion.Chesky Jazz Sampler audiophile Test Disc Vol.1. You may optimize this illusion by varying the baffle toe-in and your listening position.

With this setup, you will get a fascinating phantom stage presentation
of live recorded events (as far as the recording permits).

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself
but what has drawn your attention
in the streams of superimposed air pressure variations
at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space
Have they been recorded and rendered sensibly?
