Terms & Conditions

The following applies to all LXnnn, ORION and PLUTO materials from LINKWITZ LAB:

Note: All material is copyrighted and for the personal, non-commercial use by the person who bought it from LINKWITZ LAB. It may not be passed on in any form for use by others.

I aspire to a market place where everyone is rewarded for the value of their contribution and is not taken advantage of. I realize that this an idealistic view in today's money driven world of commerce. But I trust that those who seek excellence and experience joy in their life also have a strong sense of value, respect and fairness. I certainly have found this to be true for the large community of LXnnn, ORION and PLUTO builders and owners.

  1. In practice this means that when you give away or sell your LXnnn, ORION or PLUTO you also transfer the Documentation that you acquired from LINKWITZ LAB. Included should be a note about which version of the loudspeaker or electronics has been built by you. The new owner should then register as such with an e-mail to sl@linkwitzlab.com. If later you decide to build another LXnnn, ORION or PLUTO for yourself you need to buy the Documentation from me again.

  2. Should you want to build an LXnnn, ORION or PLUTO as a gift or for money for a friend or another party, then you need to acquire the corresponding Documentation and printed circuit boards from LINKWITZ LAB to accompany the loudspeakers. The owner should then register as such with an e-mail to sl@linkwitzlab.com

  3. Should you start a business selling LXnnn, ORION or PLUTO subassemblies or complete systems for profit, then for each customer you must have first acquired the corresponding Documentation and printed circuit boards from LINKWITZ LAB. You must build the products as described by the instructions before you are allowed to declare them as LXnnn, ORION or PLUTO products.

  4. Should you start promoting or selling products that alter or deviate from the LXnnn, ORION or PLUTO designs to express your own design preferences and trade-offs, but which are clearly recognizable as LXnnn, ORION or PLUTO inspired or derived products, then you should inform me of your intentions and publicly state

"www.LinkwitzLab.com is not affiliated with <your company name here>"

Otherwise I will place your name on my Blacklist and point to it from the 'What's new" page. Such information travels fast on the Internet.

Blacklist

Here I list companies or individuals who have come to my attention for taking unfair advantage of LINKWITZ LAB's intellectual property and reputation.

Be guided by fairness towards me when you use LINKWITZ LAB Intellectual Property to gain financial benefits.
Ask if you do not know what that means.

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself
but what has drawn your attention
in the streams of superimposed air pressure variations
at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space
Have they been recorded and rendered sensibly?
